Diversity And Integration:A Study Of The Family Relationship Of Hui-Han Intermarriage

Intermarriage has existed for a long time in human society.Close contact and marriage among members of different ethnic groups can reflect a deeper level of development in ethnic communication,so intermarriage,as an important means of ethnic integration and a typical phenomenon in ethnic society,has become an important aspect of academic research.As a unified multi-ethnic country,China has always adhered to the principles of equality,unity,mutual assistance and harmony in socialist national relations.Under this guidance,intermarriage between Hui and Han became a typical phenomenon.The direct result of intermarriage is the formation of family.Influenced by the dual factors of nationality and region,the family relationship of Hui Han intermarriage is unique.Based on this,this paper investigates the family relationship in the intermarriage between Hui and Han in W Village,Hebei Province.W Village itself is a community mainly composed of Hui people.Since1980,the intermarriage between Hui and Han people in W Village has shown an obvious growth trend,especially in the past decade.In this survey,the basic data of intermarriage between Hui and Han in village W was obtained by literature method.The interview method was used to conduct in-depth interviews with some intermarriage families in W Village,including the basic situation of family members and the interaction between members.Then it analyzes the collected family members' language,marriage concept,service attitude and actual behavior.This paper explores the relationship of power struggle between husband and wife,between parents and children,and between generations.Through the analysis,it is found that in intermarriage families: Husband and wife are confronted with cultural customs and economic power,and reach a balance in mutual understanding and concession.Among them,economic factors play adecisive role and emotional basis has an important influence.The authority of parents to the older intermarriage children declines with the decline of the status of matchmaker.But on the whole,there are still relatively large authorities.Among them,the aging of intermarriage children,the core of family structure and the degree of economic independence of children play an important role.The transmission of marriage concept presents a continuity of Intergenerational relationship.When intermarriage couples transmit their marriage ideas to their children,they are influenced by their elders' marriage ideas.The more open and inclusive concept of marriage has contributed to the intergenerational negotiation in intermarriage families.There is a crisscross family relationship in the choice of the national identity of the offspring.The multi participation of family members not only forms the struggle relationship between intermarriage couples in this decision-making,but also forms the grandson relationship in the process of the transfer of parental authority and the parent-child relationship with the improvement of children's status.Among them,social capital and patriarchal ideology play a role at the same time.The family relationship in intermarriage is not only an individual interaction,but also a social interaction.It is not only influenced by individual values and psychological factors,but also by national culture,community national environment and social development.So the interaction of intermarriage family is actually the process of national integration.
