| The late 1970 s has witnessed huge transformation and changes in Chinese society.These changes have also put both cities and rural areas,both major ethnic groups and ethnic minorities in front of great changes of the time.As city is the focus of these changes,an observation on the living status of ethnic minorities is of significance for learning the contemporary Chinese society.As a big city in west China,large number of mobile population gathers in Chengdu.Parts of them are ethnic groups,which the Tibetan population accounts most as the largest ethnic groups in the city,the research on this will do good to the studies of urban ethnic groups.Although Tibetan immigrants live in the city,they still keep in touch with Tibet and moving from place to place to live the two-land-living life.So we need to study the two-land-living state of Tibetan immigrants in Chengdu,and analyze the shaping process of their two-land-living life.From the production logic of Tibetan immigrants,the difference and open market system derive from the internal power,market and consumption lead to the production of Tibetan cultural simulacrum,space construction process led by symbol construction,and technological development and globalization directly promote the emergence and development of two-land-living life of Tibetan immigrants.Based on the two-land-living life and appearance of immigrants,the off-site activation of Tibetan businessmen by the market and the compression of speed and distance by technology are the basis of two-land-living life,while the form of regional two-land-living state and daily life orientation in the fields of culture,social networks and other alternatives.The diversity of two-land-living state is an external manifestation of two-land-living life.Meanwhile,the complex dilemma it faces is also diverse and complicated,especially in the things like economic challenge,institutional restrictions,cultural conflict,split life.It ultimately leads to the development of multicultural identity and trans-ethnic consciousness,and points to modernization and modernity.Its essence is the traditional reflection of the traditional and modern relationship in the process of social transformation in Tibetan immigrant groups.The two-land-living state not only exists as a group’s living state,but also a channel through which different societies communicate and learn.They have been in the development and transformation of both mainstream society and Tibetan society,which helps reshape the center-border relationship and the relationship between the major ethnic group and ethnic minorities,and promote the transformation of urban ethnic minorities from traditional lifestyle to modern lifestyle,from a single culture to diverse and modern cultures.At the same time,both the multiculturalism and the modernity result in the meaning of this two-land-living life,making it fit in every situation in this changing world.As a result,the research on the two-land-living state can lead us to catch up the site of the diversity and modernity of our society,and to know more about the world we live. |
