Research On Jone Rawls’ Social Stability Thought

With the progress of science and technology,the development of the information age and the deepening of globalization,the material civilization of human beings has achieved an indisputable rapid development,but stability is the premise of development.Social stability is a value that every country pursues.How to achieve social stability,Jone rawls thinks that we should establish a fair justice concept.The concept of justice is not only a beautiful concept in human thinking,but also a value criterion for human interaction.It has become a factor that can easily cause contradictions when different countries,organizations and citizens carry out social activities,and Jone rawls’ social stability thought based on justice of equity has become a hot theory.Different from the utilitarianism school,Jone rawls’ social stability theory based on fair justice attaches more importance to the value of "fairness" and denies the unrestrained acquisition of personal interests and the infringement of others’ interests.Using a series of self-conceived theoretical methods such as the veil of ignorance,Jone rawls discusses the ways to achieve social stability through the methods of public rationality and overlapping consensus.This paper adopts the method of literature analysis and comparative analysis to discuss John rawls’ social stability thought from the theoretical,historical and practical perspectives.The paper holds that John rawls did not directly define the embodiment of social stability in economy,politics and culture,but constructed the approach to social stability by shaping the concepts of fair justice,overlapping consensus and public rationality.As the theoretical basis of social stability,the overlapping consensus and public rationality must be guided by the value of fair justice.Overlapping consensus is a behavior pattern to achieve social stability,and it integrates opinions through overlapping consensus.Public reason is the thinking mode to realize social stability.It proves that social stability can be realized by prescribing people’s characteristics and thinking mode.The paper holds that John rawls’ social stability thought not only has some aspects that can be referred to when China constructs the socialist harmonious society,such as caring for the public and respecting the public opinion,but also has some defects such as lack of operability and its theory contains capitalist values.In order to absorb foreign thoughts correctly and promote the construction and development of a harmonious socialist society,we should draw on the viewpoints of its social stability theory and base ourselves on the actual development of socialism in our country.
