Living conditions of an individual person or class are the living standards in terms of basic rights, comfort, necessities and material goods available to them in any country or region. The basic facilities like foods, shelters, educational facilities, health facilities and any other element combine to determine the living conditions.Organizational Bureaucracy is highly organized structure and has a proper command and management hierarchy. The structure is divided into departments and has a well defined and efficient decision making process. The rules and regulations are very strict.Bureaucracies are supposed to be fair, orderly and highly efficient. The bureaucratic organizations bring a stability and structure to any environment. There is a proper hierarchy for everything. This brings stability in any work place. The centralized power brings a consistency in the vision of the organization.Helps define clear and precise goals. The concentration of power to a limited set of people leads to fewer people being a part of discussions and decisions. The cultural acceptability of any new idea is the coherence of the existing values and attitude of the people with that new idea. The purpose of this research paper is to analyze the role that organizational bureaucracy plays in enhancing the living conditions and the mediation that various dimensions of community based forestry plays in this relationship. The results of the study indicate that the impact of central power on living condition is insignificant but the impact of stability orientation has significant impact on living condition. In the same way,the impact of three mediating variables i.e.support for community, cultural acceptability and structural acceptability, all have significant mediating impacts on the relationship between central power and living condition as well as between stability orientation and living condition. Thus all the mediating variables are showing significant mediating impacts in the study.
