The Paradigm Shift In The Study Of Villager Autonomy

The villager's autonomy system,which has been born,promoted and improved for decades in China,is an unprecedented and grand political-social practice,which can be called "Peasant self-government".The villager's autonomy system is an important component of socialist democracy.The in-depth exploration and serious discussion of the villager's autonomy system is inseparable from the retrospect of the academic history in this field.The research of villager's autonomy needs to obtain "raw materials" from the practice of grassroots democracy,and the practice of villager's autonomy also needs to draw "nutrients" from the theoretical research of predecessors,which is the interactive relationship between"internal logic" and "external practice" in villager autonomy.After decades of trials and tribulations,the external practice of villagers' autonomy has been gradually changed and deepened.The academic research on villager's autonomy,which starts from practice and is based on practice,also has its own internal way of evolution.Just as the external practice of villager's autonomy can be divided into several historical periods,the scientific study of villager's autonomy can also be divided into several stages,with different discussion topics,exploration methods and research approaches in different stages.The earliest research is the "Value-System" approach,which was biased towards normative analysis,because it paid more attention to normative research,and should be considered as "pre-paradigm" research;"Central China School" has started scientific and empirical research on villager's autonomy for the first time,and created "Condition-Form"paradigm to answer specific problems in grassroots people's practice,which is a"Copernican Revolution" in this field.The "Rule-Procedure" paradigm,which focuses on institutional innovation in practice,is the re deepening of the former;"Governance-Effectiveness" research path is the academic response to the latest call of the central committee of the communist of China and its practice,as well as the latest research and development achievements.There is a profound interaction between the innovation of the external political practice of villager's autonomy and the evolution of its internal research.This paper borrows the concept of "Paradigm Shift" founded by famous scholar Thomas Kuhn,and uses the principles and methods of philosophy of science,sociology of knowledge,genealogy,etc.to comb,sort out and carry out retrospective research on the rich academic achievements of the former scholars.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the deepening and constant deepening of the academic research on villager's autonomy in China by combing the interaction between the two in order to further deepen and contribute "nutrients"to the practice of villagers' autonomy in China.
