Research On The Construction Of Shanghai Community Public Morality In The New Era

Citizen moral education is an important part of ideological and political education in the new era.Community public morality is the concrete manifestation of citizen morality in this particular area of the community,which is the most common and basic moral and conduct code that community residents should follow in daily community life,aiming to maintain the public order of the community,improving the living environment of the community,increasing the happiness of the community residents.The Shanghai Municipal Government released the “Shanghai Urban Master Plan Report(2017-2035)” in 2018,which aims to build Shanghai into a desirable city of innovation,city of humanities,and city of ecology.On this basis,Shanghai is going to march towards the ranks of global cities of excellence in 2050.The development of a city requires not only modern hardware,but also the spiritual civilization of urban residents.Therefore,the author believes that on the basis of the existing spiritual civilization construction in Shanghai,it is necessary to strengthen the governance of public morals in the community and help Shanghai to develop into an outstanding global city.This article insists on linking theory with practice,systematically puts forward the connotation of community public morality,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures to the public moral governance of Shanghai community in the new era based on the investigation of three communities in Shanghai.The first chapter mainly defines the relevant content of community public morality.On the basis of Marxist ethics,the author proposes the category of community public morality;the moral requirements of community public morality;the three pairs of relationships in the treatment of community public morality;the characteristics of community public morality.The second chapter mainly expounds the historical evolution of community and community public morality in Shanghai.The style of the urban community in Shanghai has gone through three historical stages,including the neighborhood community,the unit community,and the commercial housing community.At the same time,the public morals of the Shanghai community have also changed accordingly,manifested as spontaneous acquaintance social public ethics,externally restricted acquaintance social public ethics,and negative social morality of strangers.The third chapter mainly analyzes the current situation of public morals in Shanghai community in the new era.Through a field survey in South Xinshi Road Community in Hongkou District,Songnan Community in Songjiang District,and Biyun Community in Pudong New District,the author puts forward the following governance dilemmas while comprehensively analyzing the current state of public morals in the community: the growing popularity of stranger communities and the lack of inherent cohesiveness of the community;the marginalization of community collectivism and the differences of the community's individual morality;the relative lag and instability of the Shanghai community's public moral governance system,and the lack of initiative of residents in the community's public moral education in Shanghai.The fourth chapter mainly proposes the strategies for improving the public morals of Shanghai community in the new era.This chapter is divided into three parts.The first part explains the enlightenment of ancient Chinese rural regulations and covenants and the construction of public morals in American communities.The second part puts forward the principle of improving public morals in Shanghai community in the new era.The third part is based on the governance dilemma and the principle of promotion,proposing measures to improve the public morals of the Shanghai community in the new era,namely,strengthening the party building at the community level,improving the mechanism of public morals building in the community,improving the personal virtues of community residents,and promoting the participation of community residents.
