The Influence Of Community Construction On The Active Aging Of Landless Peasants

In the dual context of accelerating urbanization and deepening population aging,more and more elderly people who have lost their land have been resettled into urban communities and become old-age landless peasants.Old-age landless peasants are neither farmers in the traditional sense,nor have they fully integrated into the cities.They are faced with changes in their lifestyles and psychological barriers.How to guide them to adapt to urban community life and achieve active aging has become a growing concern of the government and the academic community.The community is the most important place for the daily life of the elderly.Community building has a certain impact on the aging of old-age landless peasants.To this end,research and analysis of the relationship between community building and active aging,and the promotion of active ageing of old-age landless peasants with community building have become an urgent task.Based on the academic literature on community development and active aging,this paper builds an analysis framework for community building and active ageing for elderly farmers who lose their land based on public goods theory and Community identity theory.According to 209 samples in Liyang City,Jiangsu Province From the survey data,the structural equation model(SEM)and case analysis method were used to analyze the impact of community construction on the active aging of old-age landless peasants.Concluded as follow:The community construction mainly promotes the active aging of old-age landless peasants through community participation from the three aspects of the construction of community facilities,the construction of community organizations and the community identity.Firstly,the construction of community facilities provides carriers for old-age landless peasants to participate in the community to promote their active ageing.The more perfect the entertainment infrastructure in the community,the higher the degree of active aging of the old-age landless peasants;Second,the more perfect the organizational development in the community,the higher the degree of active aging among the elderly farmers who have lost their land.Community organizations organize elderly people who have lost their land to engage in recreational activities,volunteer activities,and public events to increase their active ageing level.The more elderly people participating in voluntary activities and public events,the higher the degree of active aging;Third,community recognition has had a positive impact on the elderly farmers who have lost their land.Finally,it puts forward corresponding policy recommendations from the aspects of community construction,organizational training and social security systems.
