| Ecological migration is a comprehensive process, which involves not only simple relocation, but also ecology, production, life, stability and sustainable development.Faced with the new living environment,it is the integration of immigrants into the new community and their sense of belonging that not only affect the effectiveness of the relocation policy, but also affect the stability of migrants and the construction of harmonious communities. As an important factor for the existence and development of the community, community belonging is a psychological state in which people belong to a certain group of people in a certain region. If immigrants lack a sense of belonging to the new community,it will inevitably lead to negative psychology such as helplessness, anxiety and even the adverse consequences of migrants’ return. Therefore,it is necessary to nurture and enhance the sense of community belonging of migrants to new communities, which is not only an effective way to achieve integration and stable development of migrant communities, but also an important factor to achieve the target of " Moving out smoothly, living steadily and becoming rich progressively".At present, most of the research perspectives on the sense of community belonging are from the perspective of migrant workers in cities and migrants from the Three Gorges Reservoir. This research on its influencing factors also focuses on the macro-level of ecological environment, economy and society,or on community construction and community activities after migration. However, there is a lack of in-depth understanding and research on the internal relationship between migration behavior and relocation intention and community belonging in the process of ecological migration. In this research,506 eco-migrant households in Inner Mongolia were investigated by questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. This study aims to shed light on the effect of pre-relocation policy understanding, relocation participation, relocation options, relocation willingness, community satisfaction and community interaction on the sense of community belonging of migrants after relocation. The research results are as follows :(1)The three variables of relocation distance, choice of relocation place and understanding of relocation policy have positive significance on the degree of concern for community public affairs;(2)The time of relocation, the degree of understanding of relocation policy and community identity have significant effects;(3)The time of relocation, the degree of understanding of relocation policy and relocation intention are positively correlated with the relocation intention;(4)The relocation time and willingness are positively correlated with the migrants’ sense of community attachment. In addition, community communication, community satisfaction and other individual characteristics are also closely related to migrants’ sense of community belonging.Based on this study’s findings from 506 eco-migrant households in Inner Mongolia,it can be argued that it is necessary for Chinese government to pay more attention to improve the sense of community belonging of migrants from the aspects of cultivating residents’ community awareness, strengthening the construction of service-oriented communities, and guiding the relocation work reasonably. |
