As the ageing of the population continues to deepen, more and more elderly people have chosen to enter institutional retirement. The gradual increase of the age,the deterioration of the body's various functions, the decline of the language and hearing function, and the weakening of the ability to think in action all influence the quality of life of the old people in their later years. Therefore, pension institutions pay great attention to the care of the elderly in their daily lives, but it is easy to neglect the spiritual care of the elderly people in the hospital. The most prominent problem is the inter personal barriers of the elderly.Since most of the old people in the old-age care institutions are semi-self-caregivers,they are inconvenient to move and they are unable to perform normal activities. For these elderly people,it is their simplest and most feasible way to obtain psychological satisfaction through interpersonal communication, and the relationship between interpersonal relationships often affects the quality of life of the old people in the old-age care institutions. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effectiveness of casework in interfering with the barriers of interpersonal communication among the elderly in pension institutions and to anticipate the intervention of casework to improve the social barriers in the elderly. In this study, the aged Z elderly from the Nanjing Y Elderly Rehabilitation Nursing Center was selected as the study object, and the case was used for intervention. In this study, the old man of the case was passively admitted to the Nanjing Y Elderly Rehabilitation Nursing Center due to family misfortune.Changes in the living environment coupled with the death of his relatives caused the elderly to experience negative emotions and some bad perceptions, and they became introverted.,Unwilling to communicate with people, like to close themselves, often in a state of loss and anxiety.Faced with this situation, the author uses participatory observation methods and unstructured interviews to collect data on the old man Z from the case's physical, mental, family, and social status,to understand the human interpersonal barriers and their problems.According to the forecast analysis,it is hoped that the casework intervention will be used to solve the problem of interpersonal barriers for the investigators. In the course of specific practice, the author used the psychological and social treatment model, and under the guidance of social support theory and energy augmentation theory, developed an effective service plan for the old man of the case and conducted multiple intervention interventions to help the owner ease the case. His bad feelings overcome her social fears and thus tap into her social potential and enhance her ability to interact with people.Eventually, the elderly can adapt to a new living environment and actively face the later life in the later years.Later,in the evaluation results of the case work, the senior man of the case has reached the goal of service formulation and is satisfied with the entire service process and results. He finally realized his self-worth,and he reconstructed the social network.Communicate with others and eliminate social barriers. Finally, this study summarizes and rethinks the involvement of individual case work, and proposes an effective approach to solve the barriers of interpersonal communication among the elderly in nursing home institutions from the perspective of social work, using professional work methods, and the selection of case models and social workers in The ethical dilemmas and role conflicts that need to be faced in the service process are reconsidered and they hope to provide experience and reference for future social work involvement in institutional pension issues.
