Abstract/Summary:
Terrorism is an extremism that has always existed in the world and is a major issue that all countries in the world attach great importance to.From the beginning of the terrorist activities in the 1st century AD to the emergence of terrorism in the 18 th century,the formation and Development of terrorism have a close relationship with society,culture,religion and politics.What is important is that these terrorist attacks are a great threat to the whole world.It is like a bad disease and continues to spread.In the 21 st century,a major terrorist attack occurred in the United States: the terrorists hijacked two planes and slammed the plane into the 1st and 2nd buildings of the World Trade Center in New York,USA,causing the two buildings to collapse.This is the famous "911 incident." Terrorism has always existed in Thailand and cannot be eradicated.This kind of extremism involves all aspects of society,religion,culture,and politics.For example,terrorist organizations in southern Thailand have repeatedly launched terrorist attacks.This problem has not been completely rectified and resolved since 2004-2016 and the frequent explosions in the city center.Thailand is an open country and the chances of terrorists living in Thailand are high.In terms of research content,this article focuses on Thailand’s counter-terrorism policy from the original policy until the onset of intense attacks to the final revision of p olicies and the establishment of counterterrorism centers and organizations.In the proces s of sorting out the content,although the government’s measures to deal with terrorism a re in place,there are more problems that the government ignores.The conclusions draw n from the analysis are as follows: First,there are still problems in government manage ment problems and laws,and the government’s handling methods will still be less clear and clear.Second,the public’s awareness of counterterrorism is not strong,mainly beca use of luck.The incident did not happen to or on oneself;the third is that media reports are biased and reported lack of openness and transparency;fourth,the country’s antiterr orism education is not enough.In short,the Thai government should consider and carry out the improvement of the whole people,let the people have more confidence in the go vernment,eliminate the lack of transparency,and promote the further success of Thailand’s counter-terrorism.
