The Transcendence Of Marx’s View Of Liberty To Western Liberalism

With the deepening of the exchanges between China and the West,the influence of western liberalism on our country is getting deeper and deeper.Re-studying Marx’s view of scientific freedom and studying the transcendence of Marx’s view of freedom over western liberalism will help us to understand the essence of western liberalism and consciously guard against the negative influence of Western liberalism.Marx critically inherited the thought of freedom in the history of human thought and created the Marxist concept of freedom.It realizes the transformation of the concept of freedom from abstraction to concrete,from theory to theory and practice,from single level to systematization,and embodies the basic characteristics of Marx’s concept of freedom,such as practicality,historicity and sociality.Western liberalism is essentially individualism,which is manifested in the inviolability of private property in economy and the unlimited expansion of political territory.Marx’s view of freedom has fundamentally transcended the western liberalism in all aspects.On the subject of freedom,Marx’s view of freedom advocates not the freedom of a few individuals,but the freedom of all mankind.On the concept of freedom,Marx profoundly criticizes the superficiality and falsity of Western liberalism,advocates the dialectical unity of material freedom and spiritual freedom,transcends the real freedom of false freedom,and transce nds the social freedom of individual freedom.On the path of freedom,Marx believed that only by thoroughly eliminating class,eliminating alienation of labor,and constantly recognizing the necessity,can we finally realize the complete liberation of the whole human race,the comprehensive development of human freedom and the establishment of a freeman consortium.This paper uses the method of analysis and synthesis to comprehensively and thoroughly grasp the text content and deep-seated significance of Marx’s works.By using the method of unity of history and logic,this paper analyses the development process and realistic influence of Western liberalism,and explains the development process of Marx’s view of freedom.By using the comparative research method,this paper studies the essential difference between Marx’s view of freedom and Western liberalism,and demonstrates the scientificity and transcendence of Marx’s view of freedom.
