Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous development of the economy,China has entered a period of social transformation. At the same time as major achievements are made, the problems raised cannot be ignored. The distribution of interests caused by the imbalance of interest structure is uneven, the gap between the rich and the poor is expanding, and the long-term backlog of dissatisfaction and contradictions often lead to sexual riots of the group, which in turn triggers collective action.Compared with the traditional media era,the popularity and development of the Internet has made citizens’ awareness of rights protection constantly improved, and collective actions triggered by interest appeals through the Internet are becoming more and more common. The Internet provides a panoramic perspective for the study of collective action, becoming an emerging field and mobilization tool, and social support provides internal help and support for the occurrence of collective action.Research on collective action has become a research topic across multiple disciplines in domestic academic circles at home and abroad. This study focuses on the impact of the use of daily Internet on collective action in the context of China’s current special national conditions and public opinion, and analyzes the factors of social support to the impact on collective action.Through combing and reviewing relevant theories and research at home and abroad, this study proposes five basic assumptions, setting dependent variables(collective actions),independent variables(traditional media use,Internet use, social support)and control variables(gender,Ethnicity, education level, political appearance),and from the 2010 China Comprehensive Social Survey Data(CGSS2010),the problem of representing the corresponding variables was selected, and a binary logistic regression analysis model between Internet use, social support and collective action was constructed.Through quantitative data analysis, the basic hypothesis is put forward, that is:The first, the use of traditional media has a significant impact on people’s participation in collective action, and the higher the frequency of using traditional media, the lower the probability of participating in collective action; The secdon, the Internet as a tool for collective mobilization, its use is significant for people to participate in collective action Impact, compared to traditional media use,Internet use has a greater impact on collective action, and the higher the frequency of using the Internet, the greater the probability of participating in collective action; At last, the more social support(family, friends or others)People, the greater the probability of participating in collective action, whether it is sentimental, economic or practical support provided by strong or weak relationships, can increase people’s tendency to participate in collective action.Based on the above research conclusions,in order to reduce the occurrence of social collective action in the current Internet era, reduce the adverse social impact of collective action, and effectively control and guide collective action, the paper provides some strategic thinking for the government and relevant departments from the perspective of social governance.Decision makers can make corresponding efforts in improving the government’s crisis public relations capabilities, strengthening the public opinion guidance mechanism, improving public quality and emotional exchanges, and formulating laws and regulations for network supervision.
