At present,the test of electronic reconnaissance equipments is mainly carried out through the signals emitted by actual equipments or general signal sources.The research of complex signal simulation is becoming more and more mature.Many new schemes have been put forward for the research of signal simulation of electronic reconnaissance equipment in China.There is still much room for the research of complex signal simulator with multi-carrier,multi-system and flexible application.A new complex simulator structure is proposed in this paper.The CPU board is composed of a signal generator board and an up-converter based on FPGA.The CPU is an independent control and signal processing card.The signal generator board is designed and debugged independently.It supports the CPU to generate waveforms and transmit simulation waveforms through the PCIe bus or through signal acquisition.Collect the real waveform data collected by the equipment.CPU upgrades allow for more complex calculations.The design and development of signal generator board is the most basic and important part of the whole development and design process.The main hardware design content is the hardware design of signal generator board based on FPGA.Starting from the demand,this paper mainly discusses the power supply design,phase-locked loop design,PCIe interface design,DAC design and so on.The main algorithm of signal simulation is implemented in FPGA.The resource capacity and complexity of the algorithm of the FPGA determine the output technical index and the number of transmit carriers of the signal simulation.Complex signal simulator is used to evaluate the operational effectiveness of electronic reconnaissance equipment and facilities in warfare,and communication equipment.The output signal types include satellite communication signal,data link,shortwave communication and other communication formats.Therefore,in the application of complex electromagnetic environment simulation,the following signal AM/FM signal,BPSK/QPSK/8PSK/OQPSK/16 QAM signal and data link signal are mainly simulated.
