Social Work Is Involved In The Research On The Home Security Of Empty-nesters

With the deepening of China's aging population,the proportion of empty-nesters in the elderly population is also expanding.Compared with other groups,empty-nesters have gradually become a group in urgent need of social attention due to aging,declining self-care ability and lack of daily care.Empty-nesters face more safety problems in the family environment.Social work involves in the home security of empty-nesters,which can make up for the deficiency of government departments in the old-age care work,improve the home security environment of empty-nesters,and improve the living standard of empty-nesters.Based on the actual situation of empty-nesters in community D of guangzhou city,the research team and community work involved in the specific implementation process of home safety problems of empty-nesters.Firstly,the safety problems of the empty-nesters in 36 households in community D were investigated,and the family environment safety problems of the empty-nesters were understood and analyzed through interviews and observations.It is found from the observation and interview that the safety problems faced by empty-nesters at present mainly include safety problems in living environment,safety problems in food and medicine,improper use of water,electricity,natural gas and other safety problems.Through demand analysis,targeted service plans are put forward.Through group work,the author helps empty-nesters improve and expand their social support network and master the knowledge of home safety.By carrying out community activities,we can help empty-nesters link community resources,solve the safety problems in their home environment,and carry out publicity and education within the community to attract attention.Through participation in community elderly people in the field of social work research found that empty nest old man's safety problem occurs in our daily life,social work intervention in empty nest old man in the process of security issues should be also should strengthen the propaganda in the community,to do more targeted service object demand analysis,the opposite will affect the normal service.Aiming at the problems existing in the social work intervention,the author puts forward some Suggestions from the perspective of social workers,under the background of delay retirement in our country,we should attach great importance to the safety of empty nest old man,but only rely on the power of the social work service agencies and professional social workers is not enough,only through the social work organization,volunteer organizations,government departments of mutual cooperation,increased government spending on empty nester,efforts to improve the empty nest elderly home security environment,to better meet the needs of empty nest elderly,to a certain extent,improve the quality of life of empty nest elderly,let the empty nest old man have a happy life in old age.
