| Context is the environment of language use,it has great influence on the expression and understanding of language in verbal communication,and plays a key role in the correct delivery of language information.Interrogation is a special kind of verbal communication,it is conducted in a certain context,the elements of context are affiliated with the success of interrogation.Interrogation is an art of language,in which context plays an important role.Knowing the elements and mechanism of interrogation context,gaining the ability to create context to make interrogation more effective is very important.The thesis combs the main theory of context at home and abroad,defines the concept of interrogation context,and analyzes the contextual elements in the interrogation,puts forward reasonable suggestions on how to use context to enhance the effectiveness of interrogation based on real corpus in the interrogation practices.The thesis consists of four parts.The first part is introduction.This part mainly introduces the research background,methods,significance and the progress in the study of context theory.The second part introduces the basic theory of interrogation context,defines the concept of interrogation context,analyzes its characteristics,including institutional,legal and dynamic.At the same time,this part discusses the functions of interrogation context,including interpretation and control.The third part is the main part of this thesis,it introduces the form of interrogation context in the interrogation practice,including the co-text and the situational context.This section analyzes the mechanism of how does context influence the interrogation.There is no doubt that context plays an important role in interrogation activities,investigators have to be familiar with these contextual elements to enhance the effectiveness of their language.The forth part is the specific application of interrogation context.On the basis of above research,this part suggests that six elements can be used to construct interrogation context to ensure that context playing a more important role in interrogation: language style,fuzzy language,special question,presupposition,deixis and space-time environment. |
