Research On The Professional Ethics Of Domestic Workers

Domestic service industry is an industry where domestic servants enter the employer’s family and complete more complex and trivial tasks in a relatively closed and fixed space.As domestic service involves many aspects,such as employment interaction,coworker interaction,communication with company executives and their own families,domestic service workers are often placed in various of contradictory relationships.Therefore,their works are different from those of other general industries,not only in the knowledge base and technical differences,but also in the work involved in the distinct moral,value and other characteristics.The professional ethics of domestic service attendants,as the core accomplishment of domestic service workers,is the key to domestic service workers to solve various contradictions and conflicts,and its importance is self-evident.However,in recent years,there are many negative reports on domestic service workers,and the professional ethics of domestic service workers have been tortured by all walks of life.In the face of the lack of professional ethics of domestic workers,domestic enterprises are also unable to find a solution to the problem.I take some domestic economics training schools and enterprises,domestic waiters and employers three aspects in Changchun as an example,through the methods of questionnaire and in-depth interviews to comprehensively analyze and summarize.,Problems are found in the professional ethics of domestic workers,such as:Lack of professional ideality,no clear career goals,not correct professional attitude,the backward occupation idea;weak sense of professional discipline;lack of dedication and work spirit,no strong concept of professional honor and disgrace;no strong professional responsibility,lack of work initiative.They are not good at communicating with employers,lack of professional emotion,vague positioning of professional roles,and so on.Through the analysis,it is found that the causes of the professional ethics problems of domestic service attendants are various.In view of the various reasons,this paper puts forward to start from the macro level of society and system,medium level of domestic enterprises and the micro level of domestic waiters and employers,to make efforts in the three multi-pronged levels,and launch all-round constructions of professional ethics of domestic service attendants.
