Research On "Weekly Review" Of The Marxist Propaganda

"Weekly Review" is a more far-reaching newspapers after the "New Youth" during the May Fourth Movement period,studying and promoting the Marxist influence,with the flexible form,the short and pithy content,to criticize the political affairs.In the process of exposing and attacking imperialism and feudal warlordism,the "Weekly Review" carried out a strong propaganda of Marxism,and promoted the spread of Marxism in China.In this paper,the May Fourth Movement was the time dividing line.Before the May Fourth Movement,the "Weekly Review" propagated the Marxist theory and practice,mainly focused on the propaganda of Marxist classics and the propaganda of the socialist revolution and the national liberation movement experience of publicity.In the late,Hu Shi took over the "Weekly Review",the propaganda attitude of Marxism in the press changed from propaganda of Marxism to propagating experimentalism.And the reason of the change of attitude,on the one hand,is the change of thought of the main writer.On the one hand,it is because the change of "Weekly Review" discourse.After a systematic analysis of the "weekly commentary" propaganda of the Marxist process,it can be seen that the "Weekly Review" has made an important contribution to the propaganda of Marxism and promotion of a group of advanced intellectuals into a firm Marxist,expanding the influence of Marxism in China.However,the spread of Marxism in the May Fourth Movement period was subject to all aspects of obstruction.Due to objective and subjective reasons,the "Weekly Review" had a lack of theoretical understanding of Marxist propaganda and the lack of close contact with China's specific practice.In China,where there was semi-colonial semi-feudalized national conditions,how the Marxist theory and China's specific practice together to guide the Chinese revolution,has a long way to go.
