| Since the end of World War Ⅱ,the Sino-Japanese relationship has been developing continuously despite some twists and turns.China and Japan have experienced the political and economic separation,the normalization of diplomatic relations,and also had a honeymoon period,and finally a period of hot economy and cool politics.In the complex changes of bilateral relations,peace and stability are the common pledges of the two peoples,but the ideals will be smashed at times.There are many complicated problems and contradictions between China and Japan.And these obstacles hinder the friendly development of the China-Japan relations.Developing Sino-Japanese relations will inevitably need to resolve the contradictions between the two countries.There are many deep-seated reasons for the emergence and intensification of the contradictions between the two countries,including objective factors such as historical problems,territorial disputes and conflicts of interests in reality,as well as subjective factors such as national feelings and cognitive psychology of the two peoples.As the representative of Japanese political circles,the Japanese Prime Minister can not only have the authoritative discourse power to influence the Japanese political elites,but also exert influence on the ordinary Japanese people.Therefore,the cognition of Japanese Prime Minister towards China will definitely become one of the main factors in the construction of Sino-Japanese relations.The Japanese Prime Minister’s speech in Congress is one of the manifestations of his main political ideas and the main viewpoints of Japanese political circles at the time.In his political speeches,the Prime Minister elaborates on not only the basic situation of the development of internal affairs,but also the international situation and the guiding principles of Japanese foreign policy.The Chinese cognition in the Japanese Prime Minister’s political speeches after World War Ⅱ was one aspect of Japanese society’s cognition towards China in the postwar era.The Japanese society’s cognition towards China affected the development of Sino-Japanese relations to some extent.This thesis focuses on the content,characteristics,causes and the influence of Chinese cognition in the Prime Minister’s political speeches since the end of World War Ⅱ.Through the analysis of the Prime Minister’s political speeches,this thesis comprehensively understands the Chinese cognition of Japanese Prime Minister,political circles and even Japanese society,and tries to analyze the micro-level factors affecting Sino-Japanese relations from the perspective of the Prime Minister’s Chinese cognition,with a view to exploring more solutions to the shackles of the development of Sino-Japanese relations. |
