China is a multi-ethnic country with 56 ethnic groups,these ethnic groups make up the big family of the Chinese nation.As a sense of belonging,national identity refers to citizens' viewpoint about which country they belong to,it is also a kind of emotional attachment to the country.Meanwhile,it can reveal the sense identity of the nation's citizens in this country's politics,economy,culture and other aspects.National identity is important for the social stability and national security.Because of the political and economic imbalance between regions,economic discordance and some individual factors,such as nationality,educational background,all of these lead to difference in national identity in different ethnic groups.Minority teenagers are not only the new force in the ethnic groups,it is also the future of the country.The ethnic distribution over vast area and concentrated communities in small area,which usually explains the fact that minority teenagers living in minority communities,their thoughts and ideas largely affected by the national tradition and their own knowledge.This study takes minority teenagers in some schools in Wuhan and Xinjiang as subject,focusing on their national identity and ethnic identity and its correlation.Based on the study of other scholars,the author compiled the questionnaire of "minority teenagers' national identity ".conducting a survey among these junior students,senior students and university students.Through the analysis between national identity and ethnic identity from cognition dimension,evaluation dimension and emotion dimension,the author try to find out the relation between the national identity and ethnic identity among minority teenagers.The study illustrate that minority teenagers with different education background(junior school,senior school,university)show no significant difference in national identity from cognition dimension and emotion dimension,but have significant difference from evaluation dimension.Further average comparison shows this result is more obvious among junior students;minority teenagers with different education background show significant difference in ethnic identity from the three dimensions above.The average comparison shows that from perspectives of cognition dimension and evaluation dimension,it is more clear we can see relation between the national identity and ethnic identity among senior students.However,under perspective of emotion dimension,the result is more clear among university students.Generally,national identity and ethnic identity gradually improved simultaneously from junior middle school,high school to university,in university this improvement is more apparent that the higher of ethnic identity will lead to the higher national identity.Regression analysis about the ethnic identity factors reveals that nationality,the nationality consistency between parents,residence location and university background influence ethnic identity significantly.A regression analysis of national identity factors found that the junior and senior school education background is significant.According to the study result above,and combining the theory of political socialization and social identity theory,the author puts forward some countermeasures from the perspectives of individual,family,school and country to promote minority teenagers' national identity and want to offer guidance for minority teenagers' national identity education and research.And makes an analysis,trying to find out the relation between national identity and ethnic identity among ethnic minority teenagers and the factors that will influence the national identity and ethnic identity of ethnic minority teenagers by using regression.
