Relationship Between Social Support And Retirement Adjustment With Anxiety On Retirement Of Civil Servants In Semarang City,Indonesia

Adjustment is an important factor for retirees.Retirement Adjustment is kind of behavior that aims to respond the individual needs.The purpose of retirement adjustment is to obtain well becoming between personal demand and the environment where the individual lives.In order to get better adjustment in retirement,it really needs social support.Social support refers to provide comfort,taking care and appreciating from significant others.Therefore,the relationship between retirement adjustment,social support and anxiety on retirement is highly visible on the structural officer of Civil Servants in Semarang City,Indonesia who just entering retirement phase.This study investigated retirement adjustment,social support and anxiety on retirement of civil servants in Semarang City,Indonesia.146 subjects both males and females,Three instruments were used for data collection,namely;Retirement Adjustment Scale was developed by Wells(et,al.,2006)It consists of 13 statements,Berlin Social Support Scales(BSSS)by Ralf Schwarzer&Ute Schulz.(2013),and Retirement Anxiety Scale by Oluseyi&Olufemil(2015).A simple random sampling was used while multiple linear regression was used in analyzing the data of this research.Result revealed that kolmogrov-smirnov,Asymp is obtained.Sig.(2-tailed)0.401.This value is greater than 0.05 or using a significance level of 5%,it can be said that the data are normally distributed and from the output table of linearity tables,obtained a significance value of 0.432 greater than 0.05,because the significance is more than 0.05,it can be concluded that between variable retirement adjustment,social support and anxiety on retirement there is no a significant linear relationship.
