Since the 1960s,the Western capitalist countries have set off a women's liberation movement, which in turn has promoted the in-depth development of Western Marxist feminism's research.Generally speaking,Marxist feminist research often uses the analytical tools of scientific socialism to discuss the nature of female oppression and the role of revolution or to put materialistic analysis on patriarchal system, often overlooking the discussion of Marx from the perspective of social reproduction. The issue of feministism, especially Hartmann's dual system theory, although seeing traditional Marxist theory of production relations, historical change theory, and capitalist structure,it did not delve into the interrelationship between patriarchy and capitalism.Inspired by this, this study is based on the theory of women's oppression, from the perspective of daily production and reproduction of labor, and puts it into the background of the entire social reproduction,in order to clarify the deep structure of capitalist production methods. It reveals the drawbacks of the capitalist system and enriches the research content of Marxist theory. This study is roughly discussed in the following sections:Firstly,it expounds the social background and development history of Western Marxist feminism, and it is discussed from the Western human rights theory and gender theory,as well as the feminist views of Marx and Engels. This paper explores the theoretical basis of the formation of Western Marxist feminism and lays an important premise for further research on the social reproduction theory of Western Marxist feminism.Secondly,it expounds the theoretical foundation of the study of western Marxist feminist social reproduction, introduces Marx's theory of labor production and reproduction, and analyzes the special role of women in labor production and reproduction. Then,it shows Marx and Engels's "Sex Divided Work and Reproduction in the Family?"Thought,Tatekin's"Different Classes of Women's Housework and Social Division of Labor" Thoughts, and Lenin's "Family Labor and Social Labor Reproduction" Theory, and then further discusses Terman's "dual system" theory criticizes class oppression and gender oppression, but does not explain the connection between patriarchy and capitalism, nor does it explain the special circumstances of racism.Thirdly,it explains the theoretical pedigree of the development of western Marxist feminist social reproduction, examines the partnership between capitalism and patriarchy, explores the deep structure of radical feminism and the possibility of union between patriarchy and capital, and bridges the possibility of bridging "Dual system"theory is insufficient;it explains the reproduction problem based on family labor and introduces Mitchell's four structures theory,Costa's wage and housework relationship theory,Benston and Mortons'The theory of family labor as well as Bebel's theory of "reformism and evaluate it;it further explores the roots of capitalist system of women's oppression, explains in detail the impact of private ownership of production materials on women and reveals women's relative overpopulation as a labor-reproduction reserve force, faced with the dual exploitation of wage labor and family labor. It analyzes the reasons why the oppression originates from the unequal status in social reproduction. Finally,by analyzing the above theories and the root causes of women's oppression, this study analyzes the contribution and limitations of Western Marxist feminist social reproduction research, and then proposes contemporary China in the context of social reproduction for the relevant solution path for women's liberation.
