Since September 1980,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has issued an " open letter from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to all Party members and Communist Youth League members on controlling China's population growth" calling for " only one child per couple" to officially implement the comprehensive two-child policy by January 1,2016,making the one-child family forced by the family planning policy a history. In the past 30 years or so,a large number of one-child families have emerged as a result of the country's family planning policy, resulting in the loss of one-child families as a result of the death of one-child families.Women who have lost their independence are an important part of the family. As a vulnerable group, their unique physical and psychological structure causes women who have lost their independence to bear more physical and mental pressure than men.Among the large number of bereaved women, the situation of bereaved women is even more special and the situation is even more difficult. How to protect their rights and interests and deal with their needs is a major livelihood issue that our party and governments at all levels should attach importance to and urgently solve. The first part of this paper introduces the research background and significance of the topic, compares the research status of scholars at home and abroad on the phenomenon of losing independence and the protection of women's rights and interests, and introduces the research methods adopted in this paper. The second part lists the relevant concepts and theoretical basis used in this paper. The third part introduces the current situation of protecting the rights and interests of women who have lost their independence in Gaocheng District, including the current number structure of women who have lost their independence, and the current laws, regulations and systems for protecting the rights and interests of women who have lost their independence. In this paper,we conducted interviews and surveys on the missing women in Gaocheng District, and found out their real situation. The fourth part analyzes the survival difficulties faced by women who lost their independence in the region, including four aspects: economic difficulties, medical difficulties,old-age difficulties and spiritual difficulties, and analyzes the causes of these difficulties, mainly including the lack of specific legal system, imperfect social security system, insufficient support from non-governmental organizations, low amount of government aid,and few mental assistance measures. The fifth part puts forward some suggestions to better protect the rights and interests of women who have lost their independence, and expounds them from five aspects such as law, economy, medical care, pension and spirit, calling on the state, the government and the whole society to pay close attention to this vulnerable group and give them help from all aspects so that they can regain confidence in life,so as to reflect the fairness and warmth of our society.
