State Nation Emotion Of Gollege Students And Its Impact On "Universal Support"

Political support is crucial to maintaining the political stability of a country."Universal Support"refers to the basic values advocated by Chinese citizens for the current political system and their support for the country's basic political system.Universal support is the key to maintaining lasting political stability for the people."State Nation Emotion"refers to the recognition of the political community.It refers to the emotional identity of the Chinese nation in this paper.People usually think that"State Nation Emotion" and "Universal Support" are different and related to each other.But in the realistic context of contemporary China,what kind of relationship is there between the two?In order to explore the above problems,this paper divides"State Nation Emotion"into patriotism,nationalism and internationalism.This paper further divides nationalism into economic nationalism and cultural nationalism,and further divides"Universal Support"into three dimensions:"Political System Emotional Support,"Political System Efficiency Support"and"Political System Value Support".In this paper,we use the data of Shandong University Students'Political Psychology Survey in 2017 to carry out a multivariate regression analysis.We have found that patriotism,nationalism and internationalism have positive effect on universal support,but the degree of the effect is different.Patriotism has a greater impact on universal support than nationalism and internationalism.There is no significant difference in the impact of nationalism on universal support among the two dimensions of economic nationalism and cultural nationalism.The three dimensions of"Universal Support" are not obviously differentiated.The vast majority of college students belong to the"three-high"type,which supports the political system in terms of emotion,efficiency and value.The conclusion of this paper shows that,at least for young Chinese students in the new era,patriotic education may be helpful to enhance people's support for the basic political system of the country.Cultivating patriotism spirit may also be conducive to the education of institutional self-confidence.At least for now,the negative side of nationalism's"double-edged sword"to"Universal Support"has not appeared.The internationalism emotion of building a community of human destiny is becoming the source of"Universal Support".
