This study is an assessment of the China-Africa's Academic Exchange.Since China has become Africa's largest investor, their relationship has considerably increased over the past few decades. The Academic Exchange is gradually playing a significant role in strengthening and contributing to socio-economic development and cultural sharing. This study tries to present an in-depth review of how the China-Africa Academic Exchange and cooperation is impacting on the improvement of education quality and access, economic growth and social development of African countries and Cameroon in particular.Since past decades, there has been an increase of African students in Chinese universities,as well as student exchange programs, interactivity in knowledge production capacities, promotion of Chinese language in Africa via the Confucius Institutes and the establishment of Chinese studies and African Studies in both Chinese and African Universities. These have led to a growing and promising cooperation in academic exchanges between China and Africa.During the first FOCAC meeting held In Beijing in 2001,China s leaders and delegates affirmed the principle of China-Africa cooperation in education by expressing China's commitment to enhancing students'exchange on both sides,to implementing teachers training, and to building schools throughout the continent. This thesis is a comprehensive study which aims to explore China-Africa academic exchanges based on the China-Cameroon case study framework. It is structured in 4 main parts:(i)a review study on Africa-China Academic Exchange,(ii)an overview of the main reasons of the establishment of the Cameroon-China Academic Exchange,(iii)the outcomes assessment on the Cameroon-China Academic Exchange(iii)an examination of the impact and challenges of Cameroon-China Academic Exchange.
