After 40 years of social change,China's manufacturing industry has made great progress and gradually formed the world's largest industrial workers group.This paper defines the concept of new worker group,and selects 1610 worker samples from the data of China Social Comprehensive Survey CGSS 2015.It is found that the worker group has the characteristics of middle level identity and upward identification.In order to further study the influence mechanism of institutional factors on social class identity,the methods of variance analysis,independent sample T test and chi-square test were adopted.The results showed that,among the political status factors,workers with party and worker status.The group has a higher stratum identity.Among the factors related to the household registration,the local workers have a higher stratum identity,and the workers in the field have a lower stratum identity,while the agricultural and non-agricultural accounts have no influence on the stratum identity.Differences,there is no significant difference in stratum identity between the workers group of different enterprise ownership,and the workers group in the coastal area is found to have higher stratum identity,the second is the workers group in the central region,Workers in Northeast China have the lowest stratum identity.
