At the end of 2011,the “Arab Spring” begun in Tunisia and quickly spread to the countries in North Africa and the Middle East.It caused a military conflict,at the same time also brought in the Western military intervention, and the Refugee Problem became the international spotlight. This thesis focuses on the Muslim refugees in Western Europe as the research object, and holds that the long-term instability of the original countries is the primary reason for refugees to flee. This thesis takes the UK,France and Germany as examples to expound on their different positions and attitudes towards the refugee crisis. The UK is inclined to resist the influx of Muslim refugees in many ways;France, despite the repeated terrorist attacks, still adheres to the principle of moderate acceptance;Germany is gradually shifting towards a cautious attitude from the start of an open-ended policy.Muslim refugees have trekked to Western Europe to secure a stable life, but the reality is grim. The employment rate of the refugees is far lower than that of its residents, the level of education is much lower than that of the local residents, and its political participation is greatly restricted. It is worth mentioning that the arrival of refugees also causes significant damage to the local society.Firstly,it provokes challenges on the Schengen Agreement and Dublin Convention of the European Union;Secondly,it has brought certain negative impact on employment, welfare, and public resource allocation, parties' power division and social stability.Causes of refugees' survival crisis mainly include subjective and objective factors,of which subjective ones contain the inherent conflict in Muslim identity itself, strong religious believes, and cultural closeness, and some of the extremist terrorist attacks. The objective factors include the rapid rise of the Extreme Right-wing Forces in the host countries as a potential threat to Muslim refugees, and a direct relationship with the current European debt crisis.A possible solution to the Muslim refugee crisis can be worked out from the following three aspects: first, the settlement of the disputes and conflicts in the original countries of the refugees;second, the attitudes of the countries where the refugees stay should be changed;finally, the refugees themselves should try to integrate themselves into the local mainstream society.
