| Our country is in a critical stage of deepening reforms and opening-up,and accelerating changes to the pattern of economic developmentthe transformation of economy,which not only faces historical opportunities,but also confronts with all kinds of challenges of emergencies.In the reflection of these emerge ncies,a broad consensus comes out that weak emergency cognition is an important reason for frequent incidents.In this case,this paper analyzes the present situation,the difference and the influenc ical factors of public emergency cognition of Guangdong to discuss the development strategy of Guangdong emergency education,which will provide reference for the government to adjust and implement emergency education policies so as to promote the development of public emergency education in Guangdong.Because of little research directly on emergency cognition,the article firstly reviews the relevant research in home and abroad,and defines the concept of emergency cognition.Secondly based on PREC EDE-PROCEED model,the social amplification of risk framework and enacted system theory,a structural equation model of public emergency cognition in urban and rural communities was constructed.Thirdly on the basis of the literature and related theory,a questionnaire was designed and the survey data were collected in 19 cities in Guangdong northwest and the Pearl River Delta region.After testing measurement models’ reliability and validity,the article analyze characteristics and difference of emergency cognition in the urban and rural inhabitants.Finally,one-way ANOVA,structural equation model and multi-group structural equation model were used to find out the influencing factors of public emergency cognition in Guangdong urban and rural communities.The results of empirical analysis will provide the basis for the following strategy research.The analysis of public emergency cognition in urban and rural Guangdong communities shows that there is a demand for emergency knowledge in the general public,but some of the residents can not turn these emergency knowledge into normal action.In addition,although urban habitants shows higher level of emergency cognition,they lack willingness to carry out emergency preparedness,while the rural public show more positive in emergency preparedness.One-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)shows that the influence of geography,age,occupation and income on urban and rural public emergency cognition had significant influence.The influence of gender,marital status and experience on urban public emergency cognition was different.And education does not have a significant effect.Structural equation and multi-group model analysis of public emergency cognitive model in urban and rural areas show that government measures have positive effects on emergency cognition;emergency education plays an indirect positive impact on emergency cognition;positive information has a direct positive impact on emergency cognition,meanwhile negative information has a double-sided impact;there is not a circuit among emergency cognition,emergency attitude and emergency preparedness behavior.Finally,according to the results of empirical analysis,suggestions for improving public emergency cognition in Guangdong are given. |
