Research On Cooperation Among Communities,Social Organizations And Social Workers

As the aging of population in China becomes increasingly serious,institutions for the aged whose main object is the elderly,have developed rapidly,which attracts great attention in China and becomes one of the major topics for social work scholars.Based on advantage perspective theory,facts about services provided by institutions for the aged,and research findings on communities,social organizations,and social workers,this thesis does empirical research on services provided for the aged at the S Institution for the Aged in Hangzhou.The author intends to better theories related to services provided for the aged and display a case of the aged service practice.Meanwhile,the thesis is on the basis of requirements of the aged,institutions for the aged,social organizations,and social workers to provide more premium services for the aged.At the beginning of the thesis,the reasons for doing this research will be briefly introduced,later,concepts related to institutions for the aged,social organizations,and social workers and the advantage perspective theory will be introduced.In the thesis,the S Institution for the Aged is the source of materials needed,social organizations are the performers;the aged are discoverers of requirements,the people who established and manage the social workers’ teams;social workers are providers of professional services.In the summary of services provided for the aged at the S Institution,basic information about institutions for the aged,elder people’s requirements,and services that the S Institution provides for the aged are included.Next,the roles of the communities,social organizations and social workers will be explained from the perspectives of institutions for the aged establishing communities that providing services for the aged,social organizations providing services for the aged,and social workers involved in services for the aged.Meanwhile,the operation of the communities,social organizations,and social workers will be explained from the three dimensions mentioned above.Finally,problems and suggestions will be given.From the “ Cooperation among Communities,Social Organizations and Social Workers” the idea of building an old-age care institution has been broadened.In essence,there is a synergy of advantages,and there is soma space for expansion in three aspects of the advantage perspective theory.Finally,the issue of further research is put forward.
