A Study Of The Influence Of Chinese Government Image On Government Trust

The sustaining decline of the level of government trust has become a concern in the world's political circles.Contrary to the lower level in the West,the Chinese government consistently ranks higher on the level of government trust.The deep reasons can be roughly classified as infiltration and transmission of the values of authoritarianism by the Chinese government over the past century.The level of government trust is higher than imagination.Analysis from the historical dimension,Chinese has a political and ideological history of ‘monarch' and ‘feudal' for thousands of years.Thus,in the face of strong public power,Chinese people will have natural psychological dependence and obedience.Therefore,as the main body of the adnimistration,the government has become the object of the political trust,support and expectation of the people.In the context of China,the government's trust points to a practical carrier and a personified form,which is the implication of government in a broad sense.Therefore,according to the history and reality of Chinese,the most important factor in exploring the influential factors of the Chinese government trust is the image of the government.In the context of China,the image of the Chinese government is usually the carrier of its personification,that is,the government official.The public's reflection of the government officials' image based on performing duties,basic features and behavior patterns,which is the basic criterion for the reputation of the government.Thus,the image of the government will affect the level of the public trust in the government.According to the above analysis,it is hypothesized that the image of the Chinese government has a correlation with the level of government trust.Under the guidance of the authoritarian values of Chinese government for thousands of years,the level of government trust has not appeared in the doldrums.However,with the deepening of China's democratization,the process of reform has accelerated,and more and more different voices have emerged from society to the state.For the maintenance of the Communist Party of Chinese foundation,following the purpose that ‘serve the people' thoroughly,the study of Chinese government trust is in urgent need.From the point of view of government image,it is a new attempt to explore the influence of the image of Chinese government on the degree of trust of the government.In the perspective of government image,taking empirical research methods as a tool,and focusing on the analysis that how the government image can be a strong influential factors.Through continuing to shape the trust level of China government,we can form a new theoretical model in order to maintain a higher balance of the level of confidence in the government Chinese.Meanwhile,trust research is still a proposition that needs to be paid more attention.It is of extremely important research value for the future of China's political ecology and the transformation of government functions.Therefore,it has practical significance to study the influencing factors of Chinese government trust.Through the analysis and summarization of the questionnaire and data of the Chinese Social Survey(CSS)in 2013,after descriptive statistics,factor analysis and regression analysis,it is concluded that there is a positive and positive correlation between the government image and thegovernment trust level.That is,a positive image of the government will enhance the level of trust in the Chinese government;a negative image of the government will reduce the level of trust in the Chinese government.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The type of residential area has a significant negative impact on government trust.As a control variable,except for the "urban areas at the edge of cities / counties" and "rural areas",the types of other public residential areas showed a significant negative correlation,in other words,the public trusting the government in the more urban areas has a lower trust than the public living in rural areas(including suburbs).From the current point of view,China's urban development has accelerated,which leads to so many urban social problems.Thus affecting the level of trust of Chinese urban residents in the government.2.Age has a negative impact on government trust.With age,the public trust in the government is lower,who tends to show no trust the government.Stress and competition in life,the accumulation of various unsafe factors in society,and the negative parts of the media,have led to the fragility of the entire society and the lack of mutual trust between each member of the community.As a result,there is a lack of trust in the environment and society.3.The study found that the influence of gender on government trust is not statistically significant.In other words,gender segregation is not obvious in government trust.Male and female evaluations of government trust are basically the same.4.The impact on the education level of trust in government was a negative statistical significance.The lower the level of education,the more trust in the government.Those with higher levels of education have more cultural capital and more access to knowledge than those with lower levels of education,which leads to a more complete and clear understanding of the entire social situation.Also,as more and more media in order to attract readers' attention,they often search and spread negative news,examples and even falsify facts.Such information content will first spread and affect the higher educated people.Therefore,they will subjectively think that the society is dark and the government is opaque,resulting in a significant reduction in the level of government trust.
