| With the degree of aging population deepening,mild cognitive impairment(short as MCI),as a transitional stage between normal aging and dementia,is becoming a global public health problem.Senior citizens at this stage are suffering some memory or other cognitive impairment beyond their age,which has a negative impact on their daily life.Therefore,this dissertation chose 15 elderlies with MCI in S pension institution as research object,using literature research,in-depth interviews and questionnaire survey to present the social adaptability changes of the elderly with MCI.The study found that three aspects of elderly social adaptation have changed.Firstly,in daily life,elderly with MCI are vulnerable to face difficulties in some complex daily activities(taking medicine,shopping,laundry,use a phone or transport).Secondly,on the psychological side,2/3 of the MCI elderly have negative emotions,and their character and personality have changed as well.Thirdly,as to MCI elderly interpersonal relationship,there are some changes in their communication ability,psychology and atmosphere.Thus,it is obvious that elderly with MCI have some great supportive requirements in these three aspects.Firstly,adaptation of daily activities,need to improve their cognitive function especially memory,and need to improve the hardware facilities of the pension institution.Secondly,adaptation of psychological,pining for the visitation from their family and friends,and need some way to lighten their mood.Thirdly,adaptation of interpersonal relationship,need the activity contents and the remind way to be significantly optimized,and need an understanding and inclusive living environment.Finally,according to strength perspective and ecosystem theory,focus on every single change and requirement of these three aspects,this dissertation will give some intervention suggestions,from direct(elderly with MCI)and indirectly(family,peer group and the environment of pension institution)intervention ways,in order to improve the social adaptability of elderly with MCI. |
