Research On Korean Feminist Movement After World War ?

As a theory originated in the West,feminism was introduced to Asia in the 20th century.As an East Asian neighbor that is deeply influenced by the Chinese Confucian culture,South Korea is affected by the long-term feudal society.Its traditional ideology is heavier and its female status is relatively low.Therefore,feminism has undergone a long process of development in Korea.Before World War?,the Korean feminist movement showed a sporadic,limited range,field,and less influence.Since World War ?,the main body,scope,and field of the Korean feminist movement have been continuously expanding:the main body of the movement has changed from the middle-class female to the female laborers and then to the popularization of today's movement subject;the scope of motion has evolved from a single female laborer to fight for equality.The struggle to prevent domestic violence and sexual harassment continues to be more concrete and diversified today.The field of South Korean feminist movement has expanded from the economic sphere to a full range of fields including politics,economy,culture,and social ecology.During this period,women' economic participation gradually increased,the employment rate increased year by year,the gender concept of women continued to mature,awareness of rights,and awareness of political participation continued to increase.The concept of feminism was increasingly known to the public.And the status of women in the family and society has also been further improved.Globalization and the development of information have brought massive amounts of information,which has spawned many new issues related to women,and has also increased the difficulty of solving women's issues.In the future,the Korean women's movement should pay attention to the internal differences among women groups,divide women groups,clarify the needs of each group,and provide targeted help.On the other hand,we must also pay attention to the gradually diversified and complicated issues connected to women.And strengthen international cooperation related to feminism is also needed.
