As the most basic administrative organ in China,the township government shoulders the dual responsibility of implementing the superior policy and linking the broad masses of the people.With the continuous deepening of the reform of the political and economic system,the social outlook has taken on a new look and the general public's satisfaction with the government has been relatively high.In the “Global Credibility Survey Report 2017” issued by Edelman,the largest independent public relations company in the world,the Chinese government trusts.The index ranks first in all surveyed markets.However,we must also note that the level of credibility of the governments at all levels in our country is not the same.There is a so-called “differential pattern”.That is,people's trust in administratively higher governments is higher than that of administrative ones.As the township government most closely connected with the general public,the status of public credibility is not optimistic.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the research in this area.This article uses an empirical research method to evaluate the evaluation of the credibility of the township government by villagers and village cadres through questionnaires,and interviews with some villagers,village cadres,and township leaders to try to accurately grasp the status of township public trust and its causes,in order to specifically improve the township government.Public credibility and social harmony provide useful references.This article is divided into five parts.The first part elaborates the significance of studying the credibility of township governments,sorts out related domestic and foreign literature,introduces the basic situation of Jiangsu C township in the survey area,and the questionnaire recall situation;the second part outlines the theoretical basis for the study of government credibility and defines the township government.The concept and characteristics of public credibility indicate that the main assessment criteria for the credibility of township governments are five aspects: administration by law,democracy,quality of service,public policy,and the quality of civil servants;the third part provides an empirical analysis of the credibility of township governments,specifically understanding villagers and The village cadres found out the deficiencies of the township government's satisfaction with the five aspects of administration according to law,and found out the inadequacies of the credibility of the township government,analyzed the reasons for the differences in satisfaction ratings among the village cadres,and explained the negative impact of the lack of credibility of the township government;In part,it analyzes the main reasons for the lack of credibility of towns and townships from five levels: civil servants and people's quality,administrative system,finance,supervision,and democracy.The fifth section focuses on the inadequacy of the credibility of township governments and their causes,and puts forward the key to improving the credibility of township governments.Ways: Strengthen the construction of township civil servants,improve the overall quality of citizens;change the pressure-type system;strengthen the financial resources of township governments;improve the supervision system.
