Research Of The Government's Role In The Development Of Conference And Exhibition Industry In Hainan

Conference and Exhibition industry,as a smoke-free and sunrise industry,has been welcomed by countries because of the 1:9 super industry linkage effects.It is also known as "urban bread" and "economic engine".In the era of low-carbon economy,the Conference and Exhibition industry plays an important role in urban politics,economy and culture.Hainan's Conference and Exhibition industry started late but developed fast.Annual Conference of Boao Forum for Asia permanently settled in Hainan and has successfully held the 16 Annual conferences.The Miss World Finals held seven times in Sanya.Because of these,Hainan won the attention of the world which resulting in brand spill effect to attract a large number of domestic and international exhibition activities in Hainan.Since 2015,Hainan provincial government has actively promoted the development of the conference and exhibition industry.The conference and exhibition industry became one of the 12 key industries;the establishment of joint meeting system;the establishment of the Bureau;the establishment of special funds;the planning development.The government's series of macro-control measures promote the rapid development of Hainan's Conference and Exhibition industry.However,compared with the developed countries and regions,there is still a big gap between the government role and the standard market order in Hainan.Based on the development status of Hainan conference and exhibition industry,it is of great significance to study how the government plays its own role and promote the healthy development of Hainan conference and exhibition industry.This paper defines the concept,discusses the basic conditions,development course and basic situation of Hainan conference and exhibition industry.It studies the role of the government and analyzes the government's participation in the conference and exhibition industry.This paper uses the comparative research methods,draws on the different modes of the management and exhibition of the developed countries and regions,and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions of the government management,including the clarification of the government role,the optimization of the management system and the improvement of the policy.
