Investigate Into The Marshall Mission To China Again

This paper is focusing on:The Marshall Mission to China,this important incident is about four political forces(Kuomintang,Chinese Communist Party,America,The Soviet Union)which of three countries(The Republic of China,America,The Soviet Union),and it was happened after Second World War.This paper bases on the former research results,it includes five parts:reason of The Marshall Mission to China;the first part of The Marshall Mission to China(achievements for papers about ceasefire,political consultative conference,reorganization of Chinese army);the second part of The Marshall Mission to China(the civil war in Northeast 'of China and negotiations after ceasefire in Northeast of China);The Marshall Mission to China's evaluation and the reasons for its failure;US diplomatic policy to China after The Marshall Mission to China's failure.I put forward four main viewpoints as follows:Firstly,the October 10th Agreement delayed the eruption of Chinese Civil War at that time;Hurley to China did not support National Government to eliminate Chinese Communist Party.In fact,Hurley carried out the main purpose of US diplomatic policy to China,but in the later period of his mission,he still favoured National Government.Secondly,in Marshall ' s mission,not only in the first stage,but also in the second stage,he both upheld objective position.Thirdly,the reason why Marshall' s mission failed is:the tough line of National Government did not cooperate with Marshall;US diplomatic policy to China was so ideal.The Marshall Mission to China has crucial historical significance,because it not only changed the trend of Chinese situation,but also influenced the trend of Chinese situation after 1947.Through research for Marshall ' s mission,I try to restore the process of it,then make my own analysis and evaluation.Fourthly,after The Marshall Mission to China ' s failure,because National Government did not really coordinate Marshall' s activities,so American government reduced assistance with National Government.As a result,National Government failed heavily in the civil war in China.In the end,National Government had to retreat from Chinese mainland to Taiwan.
