Study On The Practice And Development Of The Long March Spirit By The Communist Party Of China

The spirit of the Long March is a rich heritage of the Communist Party of China(CPC).When the Chinese nation was in peril,the CPC carried out the great Long March.The spirit of the Long March was forged with the lives and blood of Chinese Communists and Red Army soldiers.In the new era,the spirit of the Long March has also been given new implications: the political character of remaining loyal to revolutionary ideals and devoting oneself to revolutionary causes;the lofty demeanor of being the first to bear hardships and the last to enjoy comfort;the strong will of fearing no sacrifice and being bold in winning a victory;the courage of seeking truth from fact and bringing forth new ideas as well as the thinking of loving and benefiting the people.On the new long march of construction and reform,the CPC has continued to practice the spirit of the Long March.The cadres of the CPC are the ones who formulate and implement the lines,principles and policies.The advantages and disadvantages of party cadres are directly related to the realization of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the implementation of political lines.Now,we are at a time when a moderately prosperous society in all respects is to be built and the“Two Centenary Goals” is to be achieved.Party members and cadres play a decisive role in achieving the goals.With the changes in the party,country and the world,Party members and cadres are facing “four tests” and “four dangers”.The “four tests” are the tests of governance,reform and opening up,the market economy,and the external environment.The “four dangers” are the dangers of a lack of drive,incompetence,disengagement from the people,inaction,and corruption.The “four tests” and “four dangers” are long term and complex.The spirit of the Long March is a precious asset of the CPC during the revolutionary times.In combating corruption and exercising full and strict Party self-governance,the spirit of the Long March should be used to educate Party members and cadres in upholding CPC’s principle of relying on and serving the people so as to make them keep the spirit of engaging in painstaking struggles.Only clean and upright cadres who serve the people wholeheartedly can shoulder the great responsibility of standing for the people and struggling for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.This article is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the background of the Long March of the Red Army and studies the long march of the first,second,fourth,twenty-fifth front army.It also summarizes the influence and historical significance of the Red Army’s Long March and the reasons for the victory of the Long March.It organizes the formulation and development process of the Long March spirit.From the first arrival in the north of Shaanxi to the new period of reform and opening up,the spirit of the Long March and itself has been constantly giving new connotations according to the times.The first part introduces the background of the Long March and further summarizes the Long March spirit.The second part makes an interpretation of the connotation of the Long March spirit and studies the development history of the new Long March.Long March provides spiritual nutrition for the new Long March.The new Long March must strengthen the education of ideals and beliefs,especially the communist long-range ideals and the common ideal education of socialism with Chinese characteristics.New Long march must remain confident in the path,theories,system,and culture of Chinese socialism.We should comprehensively strengthen Party discipline and improve the ability of governance.It studies the necessity of Party members and cadres to pass on the Long March spirit in the new period.In response to the "four major tests" and "four dangers" facing to cadres in the new period,it analyzes the importance of promoting the spirit of the Long March to the modern construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics,especially the importance of party cadres.The fourth part is the countermeasures.Through the analysis and research of the previous sections,the conclusion is that the party members in the new era must seize the key points of the times,strengthen education,and make party members more rational and effective to practice the long march spirit in the new long march of the socialist modernization.
