On Xi Jinping's People-centered Thought

The people-centered thought is the core and soul of Marxist theory.Classic Marxist writers and practitioners such as Karl Marx,Engels,Lenin,Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao have all conducted thorough research on the people-centered thought,which provided a theoretical source for Xi Jinping's people-centered thought.The influence of family education since his childhood and his experiences including working and living in a production team as an educated youth in Liangjiahe,Yan'an and governing in many different regions cultivated Xi Jinping's thought of truly caring for the people and his determination of doing favor to the people,formed his position of seeking truth from facts for the people and his insight of overall distribution,strengthened his faith that the Party should work for the public and assume power for the people,which laid a practical foundation for the formation of his people-centered thought.Centered around 4 aspects including development for the people,by the people,to the benefit of all the people and subject to the inspection and supervision of the people,the main content of Xi Jinping's unique people-centered thought,i.e.,“the people's yearning for a better life is the goal of our struggle”,“only by trusting and relying on the people could we unite the mighty power of the people”,“let all the people have a growing sense of gaining in the development of co-construction and sharing” and “the times are those who make the test paper,we are those who answer the test paper and the people are those who go over the test paper”.Xi's people-centered thought is the new manifestation of the Marxist people-centered thought in the new era.As the main line that runs through Xi's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era,it reflects that the great revival of the Chinese dream,five new development ideas and “four overall” strategic distribution should all adopt the people-centered value orientation.Further studying the formation and connotation of Xi's people-centered thought could help understand,learn and implement Xi's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era moreaccurately and profoundly,better promote the sinicization of Marxism and better achieve socialist modernization and the great revival of the Chinese nation.
