Party and state leaders have always attached great importance to attracting talented people and involving them in government management,especially for young cadres.A nation will prosper only when its young people thrive.President Xi Jinping pointed out that we should make greater efforts to cultivate and select young cadres,and focus on training young cadres at the grassroots level and in rural areas.In 1960 s,the Chinese government had creatively developed the policy of selecting and training young cadres from fresh college graduates at grassroots level.In this connection,a large number of talents,which have made contribution to the progress of reform,opening up and socialist modernization,have been cultivated during the last 50 years.In addition,a large number of outstanding leading cadres,who played important roles in the party and the state,have been trained.The practice has proved that the selection mechanism is fundamental for training and selecting outstanding young cadres,strengthening the construction of the party and government leaders and their reserve cadres,and is of great significance to the creation of a new situation in the grassroots work of the whole country.Under the guidance of the Provincial Committee Organization Department,J City has actively explored its own way to recruit selected graduates since 2005.The organization departments at all levels of J City have constantly summed up the working experience of the selected graduates,innovative work ideas and work measures,and created a good bureau for the selection mechanism of the J City.But in the face of increasingly complex work forms and tasks,J City's work of the selected graduates is also facing some new problems and new challenges.This paper makes a sampling survey on the current situation of the selected graduates in J City,combined with the feedback of the selected graduates and the actual situation of J City,and carefully combs the main methods of the whole city's selected graduates' work,and analyzes the main problems and causes of the present work.Through the investigation and research,the author concludes the suggestions of strengthening the ideological and belief of the selected graduates,perfecting the training system,the promotion mechanism and the salary scheme,to maximize the potential of the selected graduates,and improve the scientific level of the J City's selected graduates' work.This will result in a positive impact on society and economy of J City.
