Primary and secondary school students are the future and hope of our nation as well as the successors and innovators of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It can be said that their safety,health and growth are not only related to the happiness of millions of families,but also to the rise and fall of our nation.But reality warns us that primary and middle school students’ weak traffic safety problems due to their psychological characteristics and their traffic habits make them more likely be involved in traffic accidents.Therefore,there is an utmost urgency to take effective means to strengthen the traffic safety education for primary and middle school students and improve their traffic safety consciousness to defend their safety.This paper discusses and expounds the ways of primary and middle school students’ traffic safety awareness cultivation through the the historical process and current situation analysis mainly on the provincial scale based on a problem-orientation principle.Four major aspects including student,school,teacher,family and society are covered in discussion in this article: For the student’s part,their perfunctoriness,disregard and being a little of everything;For the school’s part,the lack of systematic traffic safety education,the decoupling between safety education and general education,the inefficiency in the traffic safety awareness fostering and the need for traffic safety education pertinence.For the teacher’s part: conservative education method,insufficient innovation,shortage of the professionals in safety education and the unscientific traffic safety education.For the society and family’s part: attention from the society is not enough,the education atmosphere for primary and middle school students’ safety is not in place;lacking parents’ instruction and representation.In the exploration of ways to the traffic safety awareness cultivation for primary and middle school students,the following four methods are pointed out in this article:firstly,taking a student-oriented education mode to help students achieve the unity of knowledge and practice,and bring full play to their initiative to learn and practice traffic safety knowedge;secondly,setting up platform and carrier by the school and optimizing the human resources and material resources needed to provide condition for the traffic safety awareness cultivation;thirdly,improving teachers’ quality and teaching quality.Making sure the content of traffic safety education updating with thetimes,applying education theory,psychology theory and modern education technology to the traffic safety awareness cultivation;fourthly,giving play to the function of society and the family to guarantee the effects. |
