Realistic film works focus on social reality in real time and reflect current social problems.Throughout the film and television industry in my country in recent years,film and television works with realistic themes have been constantly appearing in the public eye,and many achievements have been made in the industry.The protagonists of realist movies mostly take small people in reality as their typical objects of observation.Through the display of the lives of small people,the film reflects the hot issues of the current society and arouses the public’s in-depth attention and thinking.There are many types of small characters in realist films.The main types are “marginal people” who want to take root in the city,“heavy-bearers” who face a decision in conflict between reality and ideals,and representative “general public”.The shaping of the character image is what the film and television writers need to focus on during the creation period;the shaping of the small character image is mainly constructed based on its image characteristics: the condensedness of the portrait,the representativeness of the character,the experience and emotion of the character,through the above image characteristics When constructing the construction strategy of the character image,there are mainly three methods: the "rich accumulation" method of mellow collage,the "small glimpse of the big" type of detail vivid method,and the "compensation and satisfaction" type of summoning resonance method.In this paper,while exploring the construction of the image of the small person in realistic movies,it also analyzes and reflects on the image of the small person in the author’s graduation drama "Bat",hoping that the author’s research can be useful for the future.The construction of the small person image of the realism theme provides some experience and theoretical thinking.
