Since the Han Dynasty,Buddhism has entered Guangxi through the Maritime Silk Road,further developed during the Wei,Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties,flourishing during the Tang Dynasty,and spreading more widely and universally in the Song Dynasty.This article takes the Buddhist temples,cliff cliff carvings,and cultural relics with Buddhist factors in the Song Dynasty in Guangxi as the research perspective,and aims to make a preliminary inquiry into Guangxi Buddhism in the Song Dynasty.Part I: Introduction.It mainly expounds the reason and significance of this topic,introduces the natural geographical environment and transportation of Guangxi,then defines related concepts,and reviews the current research trends in academia.At present,there are few researches on the development of Guangxi Song Dynasty Buddhism.Although some articles have been mentioned,most of them are from a perspective or a region,which cannot fully reflect the development of Guangxi Song Dynasty Buddhism.This article mainly uses historical geography,historical philology,statistics,archeological typology and other methods to study Buddhist temples,stone carvings and unearthed cultural relics in the Song Dynasty,and then to understand the development of Buddhism in the Song Dynasty in Guangxi.The second part is the main part of the article,which is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the characteristics of the development of Buddhism in Song Dynasty in Guangxi.Through analysis,we can see that the development of Buddhism in Song Dynasty in Guangxi was affected by multiple factors of politics,economy and culture,and the secular characteristics of Buddhism became more and more obvious.The second chapter uses historical geography to summarize and integrate Buddhist temples in Song Dynasty in Guangxi,and has an understanding of the temporal and spatial distribution of Buddhist temples.In terms of spatial distribution,the entire Guangxi Buddhist temple has a wide distribution range,but the characteristics of uneven regional distribution.Compared with the Tang Dynasty,the distribution of Buddhist temples has expanded in scope,extending from northern Guangxi to western Guangxi and southeastern Guangxi,and the influence of Buddhism is more extensive.In terms of local distribution,the Buddhist temples in Guilin are the most distributed.Compared with the Tang Dynasty,the status of Buddhist centers is no change.In terms of time distribution,the number of Buddhist temples built in the Northern Song Dynasty was much lower than that in the Southern Song Dynasty,and the Southern Song Dynasty built the most in the Xiaozong dynasty,which was mainly determined by multiple factors such as government policies,the emperor's attitude to worship the Buddha,the long use of the year and the time of reign.After introducing several famous Buddhist temples in Guangxi,I learned about the development and distribution characteristics of Guangxi Buddhist temples.The third chapter mainly focuses on Buddhist stone carvings in various parts of Guangxi.The Song Dynasty was a period of great development of stone carving culture.A large number of stone carvings were found in Guangxi.The content published on the stone carvings was rich and diverse,and contained the basic situation of politics,economy and culture at that time.Buddhist culture is also mentioned.This chapter mainly introduces the induction and basic content of Buddhist stone carvings in the Song Dynasty in Guangxi,analyzes and classifies the content displayed in the Buddhist stone carvings,and divides the stone carvings into five categories according to the content.Different ways.Through the analysis of the geographical location of Buddhist stone carvings,it is found that the total number of stone carvings in the region,the distribution of Buddhist temples and the distribution of Buddhist stone carvings are inevitable.The fourth chapter mainly explores the influence of Buddhism on people's lives at that time by integrating the tombs and kiln site unearthed Buddhist-related culturalrelics.The Buddhist relics unearthed in the tombs and kiln sites reflect that Buddhism has not only penetrated into people's daily lives,but also has an important impact on folk burial customs.The third part summarizes the content of the article and points out the shortcomings.
