What is the significance of body in communication? What are the consequences of many thinkers’ emphasis on spiritual communication and their disparagement of the body?From the perspective of phenomenology,human beings are always a unified whole,and there is no so-called division of spiritual and physical entities.In order to avoid the physical and mental dichotomy,Husserl constructed the concept of "self human" to explain that "self" is "my perception","my feeling","my thinking" and "I think",which is the self I always am."Self" can not be classified into one side of the mind or one side of the body.Heidegger called man "here" and emphasized the relationship between man and the world as well as the relationship between self and other people,even without any entanglement in the relationship between body and mind.Merleau-Ponty criticized the theory of mind thoroughly from the perspective of perception and body.From the perspective of phenomenology,the struggle between mind and body seems to be nonsense.For interpersonal communication problems,the thought of physical and mental dichotomy and the opposition between subject and object often causes some unnecessary troubles: either it leads to the solidification of communication relationship,or it leads to the unexpected sigh of others.Phenomenological criticism of the dichotomy of spirit and flesh and objective thinking seems to be able to dispel this unnecessary debate.The research of interaction subjectivity in phenomenology provides a deeper dimension for interpersonal communication.The reason why I can communicate with you lies in the interactive relationship between me and you.There is always an other in the self.The self is not a closed container,but one of many that are open,aware and immersed in the external world all the time.At the micro level,the world around me is always different from that around you.Each of us is a unique individual.But at the macro level,my world and your world are always one world.The existence,life and extension of the world make everyone have the possibility of communication with others.It is precisely in this kind of environment with different parts and the same whole In China,communication and exchange activities came into being.The flow perspective and thinking mode of phenomenology bring a new thinking angle to interpersonal communication problems,and it also makes a strong criticism on the long-standing physical and mental problems.From the perspective of cognitive neuroscience,the idea of interactive subjectivity in phenomenology is not utopian.In particular,the discovery of mirror neurons has put the communication activities of human beings into the physical level,and the coupling of body and consciousness has confirmed the importance of body in interpersonal communication at the level of natural science.The dialogue between phenomenology and cognitive neuroscience shows that the communication between people is body to body,and people are body.There is nothing else.As Nietzsche said,the body is the criterion. |
