The film and television development of China and South Korea has their own characteristics.The filmmakers of the two countries explore a broader film market and promote the continuous progress of the film industry of the two countries.In2013,CJ E&M of South Korea contacted director Chen Zhengdao and proposed to develop the same script in two countries and shoot two versions of China and South Korea at the same time,thus creating a brand new mode of film cooperation between China and South Korea.Although such scripts have experienced localized adaptation,they have received different repercussions in their film markets respectively,which makes people think about the differences between the two countries’ film markets,film audiences and the cultural differences behind the scripts.This paper compares and analyzes the Chinese and South Korean film works in the existing ’Sharing Screenplay’ cases,and summarizes adaptation strategies and ideas of the two countries for the same script master,explores the adaptation and creation features of the filmmakers of the two countries,discusses the differences between Chinese and South Korean cultures behind them,and puts forward the positive strategies for the cross-cultural text adaptation of domestic films and localized transformation.This paper is divided into four chapters,the introduction part is the description of the topic,including the research background,research value,research methods,literature review,and the reason why it is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the comparative analysis of the two versions of Chinese and Korean films.It mainly compares the cases of Chinese and Korean films created under the mode of’Sharing Screenplay’,from the aspects of narrative structure,character image,background setting,core paragraphs,combined with the final box office response of the film and the audience’s word of mouth,to show the overall picture of the two films by means of ’Sharing Screenplay’.The second chapter is through the analysis of the film itself,and puts forward the differences between the two countries’ films in the local culture,film and television environment and audience acceptance.Finally,according to the summary and carding of the film cultural differences contained inthe mode of "Sharing Screenplay",this paper puts forward the final understanding of the localization of Chinese and Korean films,and puts forward a sound strategy for the localization of Chinese and Korean films.
