Form Of Expression Of Female Body Symbol In Modern Watercolor Art

Watercolor art has a long history.Its scope can be traced back to ancient Egyptian scrolls,exotic Persian Miniature and Illustrations in medieval European Bible manuscripts.At the beginning of the thirteenth century,it was the German painter,Albrecht Dürer,who was the first to paint landscapes in watercolor.Until the 18 th century,in the UK,most artists and enthusiasts have gradually perfected it as a light color work,and it is also a sign of the emergence of watercolor as an independent and formal art painting.Because of the unique temperament of transparency and contingency,it is more diverse and inclusive than other painting,which making it easy to be accepted by ordinary people and a very important part of modern and contemporary painting.In the later period,watercolor painting from the west came into Chinese people’s sight on a large scale.After absorbing a large number of its characteristics and techniques,Chinese artists added the current cultural background,realistic experience and living state into it to show the whole new Oriental watercolor painting with personal characteristics to the world.In watercolor painting,the artistic creation with female body image is one of its important components.The artistic creation with metaphor is a strong expression of the artist’s self-consciousness.Female body has been the object of watercolor art for a long time.The "female body symbol" in watercolor painting is the embodiment of different cultural identities and consciousness of women as independent individuals in the current era.Watercolor art is a very convenient,popular,casual and free way of artistic expression in modern and contemporary times.Through the basic carrier of "female body symbol" in watercolor art,it reflects the artist’s thought on the current society and tries to communicate with the audience.It is an attempt to explore some social reality problems in a novel artistic language in close combination with the current social survival context.In this paper,through three chapters which are theory,creation of watercolor artists at home and abroad and the practice of self-creation,I illustrate the metaphorical practical significance of female body symbols as expression elements in watercolor art.Through the interpretation of the expression form of "female body symbol" in different watercolor works,this paper discusses the living state,social status and consciousness of women in the real society.This unique and real perspective tells the audience the creator’s concern about the current social universal living state,and further analyzes the various inner feelings existing in the real world,all of which have a profound impact on and enlightening effect on contemporary art creators.
