Zhong Hua Liu Ban,one of the "Eight Great Songs" of Jiangnan Sizhu,is a representative piece of Jiangnan Sizhu Classics.One piece of work,having different performances,different versions,and different combinations of instruments,can present different playing styles and sound effects.To study more about it,I will focus on three representative Jiangnan Sizhu masters’ erhu performances——Zhong Hua Liu Ban.In this article,I will try to find out the playing patterns and styles of the three masters,the common aesthetics of Jiangnan Sizhu,and some inspirations for Jiangnan style in erhu performance.All of these were based on my thoughts while learning Jiangnan Sizhu Classics,especially the “Zhong Hua Liu Ban”.I read and sorted out the literature on the formation,the historical development,the influence and the titles of the song in it.Then in the guidance of the unique performance techniques summarized by masters,I compared the scores and audio information of the three erhu performances of " Zhong Hua Liu Ban ".Finally,with my personal experience of improvisation,I had some thoughts about which attitude of us young musicians should have towards it.In addition,from the masters’ variations in playing the instrument,how can we learn some improvisation methods so that we can make our performances more flexible.
