As developing musical skill of audiation is the main education goal of solfeggio,aural training is recognized as an important instructional part of the subject.Therefore,one of the essential issues in instructional research of solfeggio is to navigate that: in aural training,how to advance auditory cognitive ability with the pattern of auditory cognition.Additionally,the ability of perceiving the overall structure of a relatively complete section of music composition with auditory cognition convincingly demonstrates one's more refined and advanced level of auditory cognition in music.In perspective of the importance of aural cognitive training regarding overall structure of music,setting its foundation in the analysis of pedagogy methods in book “Hearing Form:Musical Analysis with and without the Score”,this thesis furthered discussing instructional and pedagogical methodology of blending cognitive learning of musical structure into aural training.As the reflection of internal relationships among multiple musical materials which form a complete music composition,music structure displays the logic of music.Deepening auditory cognitive ability through perceiving basic overall structure in music in aural training as well as furthering of student's aural comprehension towards internal logic of music should be considered as the more advanced instructional goal upon one's accumulation of fundamental auditory cognitive ability.The thesis,after illustrating the importance of practicing cognitive ability regarding structure in aural training,following its introduction of the most updated foreign textbook “Hearing Form:Musical Analysis with and without the Score”,analyzed and concluded the pedagogical patterns and design and the reflected instructional pedagogy of the book.Furthermore,by introducing fundamental aural training of structural music elements in the book “Hearing Form” as well as instructional methodology of aural-leading learning in perceiving musical structure,inspiring by domestic and international research outcomes in the field of solfeggio teaching,the author also,following the basic principles of teaching and learning,discussed and illustrated possible practical instructional methodology detailedly of blending cognitive learning of musical structure into aural training with accumulated practical examples from classroom by contextualizing the discussion with current circumstances of solfeggio teaching within China which includes the author's own teaching experience.Researches focusing on auditory cognition in music structure are still uncommon to see in the field studying solfeggio teaching and learning in China.Noticing the demand of developing the musical skill of audiation,this thesis aimed at the educational goal of deepening auditory cognitive ability by blending cognitive learning of musical structure into aural training to enrich research outcomes of the field in the solfeggio subject.
