The Search And Reflection Of Root-seeking Literature On Traditional Culture

Root-seeking literature is an extremely important literary school in the 1980 s.The literature with “root-seeking” characteristic is an inevitable evolution of “scar”,“reflection” and even “reform” literature,which plays an important role in the history of Chinese literature.It has not only injected fresh blood into the contemporary literary world,but also made a great significance to later literature.Root-seeking writers paid their attention to national cultures behind the political ideology from politics itself in the previous period,hoping to find the national “roots” from traditional cultures,which meant that the focus of literature study was turned to cultural aspect from sociological perspective.Root-seeking literature marks Chinese literature towards a new direction.Starting from the local culture,this paper combines the theoretical interpretation with the text analysis to view the traditional culture,so as to find out the dilemma of the traditional culture,and reflect on the traditional culture.This paper is mainly illustrated from three parts.The introduction mainly analyzes the background and significance of the study,defines the scope of local culture and illustrate the ideas of writing based on it.The first part shows that the local culture is the matrix of culture return,and the local space has become the common choice of root-seeking writers since local literature is a good medicine to remedy the shortcomings of modern civilization,coupled with the deep-rooted locality in China for a long time and local experiences of root-seeking writers.At the same time,root-seeking writers reflect the most intuitive cultural elements contained in the country through folk culture,folk song culture,dialect culture and myth culture.The second part analyzes the specific displays of local culture.There are two main aspects.The first one refers to the prototype of native characters,including the archetype of the earth mother,hero,the Ah Q and the chaser,so as to reveal the characteristics of the local culture,the other is the local ethics,which mainly reflects the constant and change of the local ethics from the aspects of family ethics,community ethics,political ethics and natural ethics,thus reflecting the change of local cultural.The third part mainly reflects on the traditional culture.The decline of traditional culture itself,the crisis of tradition in modern times,and the national inferiority are also revealed,which makes the reconstruction of traditional culture face many difficulties.On this basis,the reflection on the traditional culture shows the historical inevitability of shaping the traditional culture in the new period.Under the new historical conditions,what traditional culture should be shaped has become an issuethat cannot be ignored.At the same time,the overall attention to the traditional culture also has a great influence on the later literature,and makes it continue to develop along the road of cultural consciousness.The conclusion is about the importance of traditional culture and calls on us to work towards the development of traditional culture.At the same time,the reasons for the fall of root-seeking literature are briefly analyzed,which brings down the curtain for the root-seeking literature studied in this paper.
