A Report On South-kong Culture Exchange C-E Simultaneous Interpreting Task Based On The Principle Of Interpretation

Nowadays,China's voice in international conferences is constantly increasing,simultaneous interpretation plays an important role in the communication process of international conferences.However,in the simultaneous interpretation of conferences,translators will be affected by multiple factors,which will affect the speed and quality of translation.In terms of culture,Confucian culture has long been the mainstream culture in China,and its philosophical thoughts have been deeply rooted in the values of the Chinese people.Therefore,the translation of Confucian culture is of great significance to the going out of Chinese culture.South-Kong conference has strong academic characteristics,Chinese characteristics.The simulation of this conference can find out the typical problems of long and difficult sentences in Chinese-English translation and improve the effectiveness of translation.This practice report selects South-Kong cultural exchange meeting for translation simulation practice.In this report,the South-Kong cultural exchange meeting was selected for interpretation practice,which lasted about 100 minutes.In order to have a better understanding of cultural conference.Translators can deal with the problems accurately,adopt appropriate translation strategies,and make concise and accurate translation.Guided by the theory of interpretation,this paper adopts the strategies of diversion,conversion,omission and reconstruction to solve the problem.In the process of simulating practice,we also met some challenges.The speaker had some colloquial expressions,loose sentences and many long sentences with Chinese characteristics.This report fully records the process,problems and solutions of translation practice,hoping to better translate long and difficult sentences in the future study and work,and provide references for future study and work through case analysis.
