The Study On Ye Shi’s Mencius Thought

During the two Song Dynasties,the ideological status of Mencius’ s books rose sharply,and Meng’s study gradually became a dominant study.But in the "Mencius promotion movement",there are always the phenomenon of doubt,non-Meng and so on.Although this is not mainstream,it is undoubtedly an indispensable part of the development history of the two Song Meng studies.Ye Shi is the main representative of the famous school of achievement in the Southern Song Dynasty,and the collection of The Daisa of Yongjia School.Later generations scholars generally believe that Ye Shi is one of the representatives of the "non-Meng" school,But through the study of Ye Shi’s own life experience and academic literature,we can see Ye Shi himself criticized and praised Mencius in the process of forming his thought system.At present,the results of a comprehensive study of Ye Shi Meng’s thoughts are scarce.In view of this,this paper intends to analyze and explore Ye Shi’s criticism of Mengzi’s thought and continue to play it from the aspects of Ye Shi’s writings,Orthodoxy Theory,Mind Theory and Benevolence Theory.Such as his Orthodoxy Theory,adhering to the principle of respect for the confucianism,clearly pointed out that Mencius can not continue the Orthodoxy Theory,highlighting Ye Shi adhering to the Confucius Orthodoxy Theory but with Cheng Zhu " Orthodoxy Theory " quite different;The view that Cheng Zhu’s interpretation of Mengzi’s "mind theory" has the disadvantage of being out of touch with the times,and the difficulties of the times faced by the Southern Song Dynasty,especially the way of governing the country with the aim of being rich and strong,has nothing to do with it.To this end,he engaged in the work and the grim reality faced by the Southern Song Dynasty,developed Meng’s thought on the basis of criticizing Cheng Zhu Orthodoxy Theory,constructed the theoretical system of the southern Song Dynasty’s thought with the work as the core,and also had a certain influence on the development of the " practical learning " in the Ming and Qing Dynasties."Non-Meng" trend has a distinctive feature of an important part,showing That Ye Shi himself hopes to guide the Southern Song Dynasty to commit to political,social and economic construction to get out of the crisis of the life vision.This is the value and significance of the study of Ye Shi Meng’s thought.
