As one of the multiple forms of musical performance,chorus has a long history in the West.Coming into being along with religions,chorus art has been given full play for a long term due to its unique rendering power.Chinese choral art has gradually taken root since it was introduced from the West,which has lyrics that make it easier for people to accept and it plays a significant role in China's political and cultural life.At present,as the flourish of art education in China,chorus performance or competitions in different levels and scales have been emerged in endless,which has greatly enriched the spiritual life of the people.Simultaneously,it has played a great role in improving national aesthetic education.As an influential composer,Lin Hua has always attached high importance to chorus music.In terms of chorus,106 works have been collected and published,and many of them have been circulated in the chorus circle.Combining the unique artistry with high aesthetic value,these works have been often often used as entries for concerts or competitions.As a music theorist,Lin Hua has long focused on the study of music aesthetic psychology with more than 30 types of academic works,many of which have won provincial and municipal awards.As an educator,his philosophy of art education has also reflected in textbooks and practical activities.Over the years,he has not only devoted himself to tutoring choral activities,but also helped many newcomers engaged in choral work.Starting from his triple identity,this essay mainly conducts research and analysis from his choral works and music theory treatises,as well as summary on his choral practice activities through interviews and investigations in an attempt to extract his aesthetic perspective and art education from these three aspects.Four chapters are included in this paper:Chapter One: Choral works of Lin Hua.Elaboration on his choral creation process and the basic situation of works from three aspects of the creation background,general picture of works,style and characteristics;Chapter Two: Brief introduction to music aesthetic works and main points related to Lin Hua;Chapter Three: Summary on art education concepts of Lin Hua through his artistic practice including the introduction of activities such as creation,social counseling,as well as analysis of fragments of his works;Chapter Four: A comprehensive interpretation of his representative works to make a better understanding on the aesthetic standards contained in his works.
