How Documentaries Tell Stories

The documentary "Village secretary Wang Xiaofeng" mainly tells the story of Wang Xiaofeng,secretary of the Party branch of Guanjiatun Village in Faku County,Shenyang,in his daily work.The work mainly revolves around the garbage clean-up and teaching activities of two clues to carry out the narrative,with ordinary stories to show the hero’s extraordinary adherence and pay.This paper focuses on the analysis of the works from three parts.In the first part,this paper explores the way the theme of the work is conveyed from the aspects of the creative process of story and the expressive meaning of the film symbol,and in the second part,this paper analyzes the character series and character characteristics from the aspects of the story itself and the subjective shaping of the characters by the creators.In the third part,this paper explains the narrative structure of documentary from the three aspects of the combing of story clues,linear narrative and the application of parallel structure.
